Attendees represent thousands of young people across the Greater Philadelphia Area who benefit annually from community-based and residential programs offered by
Catholic Social Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
Catholic Social Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia (CSS) will host its 69th annual Archbishop’s Benefit for Children (ABC) Christmas Party. This year’s theme is “The Archbishop’s Christmas Jam.”
The ABC Christmas Party will kick off with a live Nativity scene on the front steps of the Archdiocesan Pastoral Center (APC) featuring student performers from Saint Cecilia School, located in Northeast Philadelphia’s Fox Chase section, and animals traditionally associated with the Nativity.
The Good Shepherd Singers, a choral group composed of staff, residents, and alumni of Saint John’s Hospice (SJH), will perform a musical prelude in the APC lobby. SJH, a ministry of CSS, has residences that serve approximately 150 individuals transitioning from homelessness to independent living annually, meal services for more than 200 community members each day, mailroom services for more than 1,700 individuals, as well as case management and medical and behavioral healthcare services.
