Catholic Social Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia (CSS) is pleased to announce that it has received a $150,000 grant from the Connelly Foundation to help provide continued support to vulnerable populations throughout the Greater Philadelphia region impacted by the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.

The awarded funds will benefit three vital service areas operated by CSS critically impacted by the virus. Supported programs include those serving adults with intellectual and physical disabilities at The Communities of Don Guanella and Divine Providence ($50,000); programs serving delinquent and dependent youth at Saint Gabriel’s Hall, Saint Francis-Saint Joseph Homes and Saint Vincent’s Home ($50,000); and food programs assisting individuals and families facing a food emergency brought on by COVID-19 ($50,000).

Mr. James Amato, Secretary for Catholic Human Services of Archdiocese of Philadelphia said, “The support of the Connelly Foundation has been a long-standing gift for Catholic Social Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia as well as the local Church’s various ministries and good works. I am deeply thankful for this partnership, especially so in these challenging and difficult times.”
