Catholic Social Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia (CSS) has been awarded The Signum Fidei Medal by the La Salle University Alumni Association. The award was presented on November 12, 2021 at the annual La Salle University Alumni Association Awards Dinner.

Each year, the award is given to recognize achievements in accord with the established aims of La Salle University and the objectives of the Brothers of the Christian schools.

CSS was selected for this award for its commitment to caring for our neighbors in need and for positively impacting the lives of men, women, and children for over 200 years.

Through its broad range of community-based and residential programs, CSS benefits more than 175,000 individuals of all faiths annually throughout the five-county Philadelphia area as an expression of the charitable works of our local Church.

James T. Amato, Secretary for Catholic Human Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, accepted the award on behalf of CSS. He was joined by CSS administrators, staff, and supporters.

“We are honored to be awarded the prestigious Signum Fidei Medal and respectfully receive this on behalf of the many Catholic Social Services staff who diligently work day in and day out serving those most in need in our local community,” said James Amato.

The La Salle University Alumni Association Awards Dinner is held each year part of Homecoming and Family Weekend.
