Nativity B.V.M. Place, an affordable housing development for seniors in the Port Richmond neighborhood of Philadelphia, operated by Catholic Housing and Community Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia (CHCS) will host a health and wellness fair for all senior residents.

Senior residents from Nativity B.V.M. will be in attendance as well as staff from CHCS. The fair will feature various organizations from the local community offering Medicare approved annual wellness exams, diagnostic tests, hearing screening and testing, meetings with a nurse and cardiologist, and more.
Ms. Kristi Bennett, MSW, LSW, Social Services Coordinator at Nativity B.V.M. Place said, “This is a wonderful service for our residents. They are offering a comprehensive annual wellness exam, with additional screening and testing all performed on site. This is convenient for our residents who have a hard time traveling to their doctor. We are so appreciative of this service provided by Bala Cardiovascular Associates and Sound Investment Hearing.”
Nativity B.V.M. Place is one of four CHCS senior housing communities that allows residents to remain active in their communities while enjoying comfortable, affordable apartment living. The building consists of 63 one-bedroom apartment units and features community rooms, laundry facilities, and elevators. In addition, CHCS provides social services to residents to connect them with resources such as in-home care, public benefits, and food assistance in addition to providing supportive counseling and intervention.
