The Catholic Charismatic Renewal movement invites all people to experience the Holy Spirit, who opens us to a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ and the love of God the Father. The CCR is a conduit to the ongoing action of the Holy Spirit in our lives to bring us into a closer relationship with Jesus. It is both a search for personal holiness and a means to share our talents and gifts with others in order to build up the Body of Christ.
As Pope Francis has said, “You, Charismatic Renewal, have received a great gift from the Lord. You were born of the will of the Spirit as a current of grace in the Church and for the Church. This is your definition: a current of grace.”
