Archdiocese Announces Multiple Real Estate Transactions; Projects Expected Satisfaction of Trust and Loan Funding Shortfall

In July of 2013, the Archdiocese of Philadelphia published audited financial statements for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2012. The financial statements disclosed a $39.2 million operating deficit for that period as well as very significant underfunded balance sheet liabilities that measured in the hundreds of millions of dollars.

Archdiocese of Philadelphia Announces Closure of Worship Sites in Philadelphia

Saint Callistus Church and Saint Laurentius Church will no longer serve as worship sites of Our Lady of Lourdes Parish and Holy Name of Jesus Parish, respectively, and will close as Roman Catholic Churches
