This weekend’s winter storm will be a hardship for many in our area. Additionally, severe winter weather typically causes anxiety for Christians with regard to their Sunday duties. Catholics, for the most part, take seriously their obligation to assist at Mass on the Lord’s Day.

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia and the World Meeting of Families – Philadelphia 2015, with the Philadelphia Auto Show, today announced that a FIAT 500L used by Pope Francis during his historic visit to Philadelphia in September 2015 will be auctioned to the public at the annual Philadelphia Auto Show Black Tie Tailgate at the Pennsylvania Convention Center on Friday, January 29 at 9 p.m. EST.

El reformador protestante Martín Lutero dijo una vez: «No mienta cuando ore». Sus palabras pueden ser más leyenda que realidad, pero su contenido todavía suena muy cierto. Y son buenas para recordar mientras nos preparamos para el día feriado de la semana que viene (enero 18) en honor de Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. King nos enseñó a ser honestos acerca de nuestra fe y las convicciones que deben derivarse de ella. Tomó la Escritura en serio -especialmente sus pasajes sobre el perdón, el amor y la justicia- y actuó en ellos, negándose a tener en cuenta el costo.
