The Archdiocese of Philadelphia announced today the continuation of the Parish Area Pastoral Planning Initiative with three parishes from the City of Philadelphia and two parishes from Delaware County entering the process.

The Archdiocese of Philadelphia announced today that Archbishop Charles J. Chaput, O.F.M. Cap. has reviewed recommendations of the Archdiocesan Strategic Planning Committee and made decisions regarding five parishes taking part in the ongoing Parish Area Pastoral Planning Initiative.

In Bucks County, Immaculate Conception B.V.M. Church (Levittown) will no longer serve as a worship site of Queen of the Universe Parish (Levittown) and will close as a Roman Catholic Church. In Montgomery County, Saint Gertrude Church (West Conshohocken) will no longer serve as a worship site of Saint Matthew Parish (Conshohocken) and will close as a Roman Catholic Church.

Saint Joseph the Worker Church (Fallsington) will no longer serve as a worship site of Saint Frances Cabrini Parish (Fairless Hills) and will close as a Roman Catholic Church.

Incarnation of Our Lord Church, Our Mother of Sorrows, and Holy Saviour Church will no longer serve as worship sites of Saint Helena Parish, Sacred Heart Parish and Saint John Fisher Parish, respectively, and will close as Roman Catholic Churches
