The Bishop Shanahan High School Girls’ Lacrosse Team from Downingtown (Chester County) will contend for the Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) Girls’ 3A State Championship when they play Springfield High School (Delaware County). This is Bishop Shanahan’s first-ever appearance in the PIAA finals in program history.
Following the teams practice, Reverend Louis Monica, the school’s Campus Minister will bless members of the lacrosse team ahead of the game on Saturday, June 14 at 3:00 p.m. at Penn State University’s Panzer Stadium in University Park (Centre County).

The Bishop Shanahan Girls’ Lacrosse Team has an overall record of 22-3 this year. On June 10, the Eagles defeated Manheim Township in the semifinals. The team advanced to the semifinals in 2022, 2023, and 2024. The school’s last PIAA title in any sport was the Boys’ Lacrosse Team in 2019.
The game will be televised on the Pennsylvania Cable Network (PCN) pcntv.com/sports/.
