#iGiveCatholic Giving Day Raises Over $16M On #GivingTuesday Nationally
The Archdiocese of Philadelphia partnered with the Catholic Foundation of Greater Philadelphia (CFGP) to participate in #iGiveCatholic for the second consecutive year. More than 9,097 benefactors helped raise $1,771,471 for 124 parishes, schools, and non-profit ministries of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
Additionally, Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary Appeal, and the Catholic Charities Appeal of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, placed first and second respectively for most dollars raised nationally.
Most Reverend Nelson J. Pérez, Archbishop of Philadelphia, said, “I was thrilled to learn that this year’s #iGiveCatholic initiative far surpassed last year’s total in our local Church and raised for than $1.7 million dollars for 124 ministries within Archdiocese of Philadelphia,”
“On behalf of all those you helped us serve, I extend my heartfelt gratitude for your kindness and generosity. Your support is a clear reflection of your commitment to seeing the face of Christ in those most in need. May God bless you abundantly during this Holy Season of Advent and always.”
Now in its 7th year, #iGiveCatholic is celebrated annually on #GivingTuesday and brings the Catholic community together to give thanks and give back. The Archdiocese of Philadelphia joined CFGP in promoting this special, faith-based giving day for the first time in 2020. #iGiveCatholic is celebrated by more than 40 (Arch)dioceses located across the country.

We are especially grateful to all who gave so generously to support these organizations and their important missions,” said Sarah O. Hanley, President and Chief Executive Officer of CFGP.
This year, #iGiveCatholic raised a grand total of $16,536,822 nationally with support from 44,151 donors for 1,620 organizations. #iGiveCatholic celebrates Catholic heritage, encourages philanthropy, and inspires faithful stewards to “Give Catholic” on #GivingTuesday, the global day of philanthropy.
