Archdiocese of Philadelphia to Hold Mass for Those Suffering From Addiction

All people of goodwill are invited to participate in the Holy Mass and to pray for those suffering from addiction of every kind.

Reverend Dennis Gill, Rector of the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, will be the principal celebrant and homilist for the Mass. Parking is available on the premise in the rear of the Cathedral Basilica.

Catholic Social Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia (CSS) is committed to restoring and strengthening families and promoting the integral health and well-being of those who struggle with substance use disorders as well as their families and loved ones.

CSS, along with Archdiocesan Office for the New Evangelization, offer a two-pronged response to the addiction crisis, which aims to attend to the needs of the whole person, body, mind and spirit.

CSS’ Recovery and Hope page provides clinical and social service resources such as emergency contacts for county-based agencies throughout the Greater Philadelphia area, local treatment facilities, insurance information, and more. The Hope in Christ page provides resources such as retreats and evenings of reflection, ongoing support ministries, testimonies, links to websites and videos, and more.
