Archdiocese of Philadelphia to Celebrate Annual World Mission Sunday Mass

This year marks the 50th Anniversary of the Second Vatican Council’s Decree on the Missionary Activity of the Church, Ad Gentes.

Bishop Michael J. Fitzgerald will be the principal celebrant and homilist at the Annual World Mission Sunday Mass. After the once-in-a-lifetime World Meeting of Families and Papal Visit, the celebration this year is even more special. The Mass commemorates the vital work of Mission churches throughout the world and the support extended to their efforts by the faithful of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
