Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez To Hold News Conference Launching 2022 Catholic Charities Appeal

Archbishop Pérez will announce this year’s fundraising goals and highlight the impact the initiative has on those served by the social services and educational ministries of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez will launch the 2022 Catholic Charities Appeal (CCA) at a news conference. CCA is the Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s single most important fundraising initiative benefiting hundreds of thousands of people through countless organizations and ministries throughout the five-county Archdiocese.

Archbishop Pérez will be joined by Mr. William “Bill” J. Phelan, IV, Esq., President of the CCA Board of Directors.

Representatives from ministries benefitting from CCA will also be on hand including Ms. Lizanne Hagedorn, Executive Director of Nutritional Development Services, an agency of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia which provides food and related resources to children and those in need across the Greater Philadelphia region, and a representative from Visitation Homes, a ministry of Catholic Social Services located in the Kensington section of Philadelphia, which provides permanent, supportive housing for families experiencing homelessness. All will offer brief remarks about the impact of the CCA.

The news conference will take place with adherence to guidelines set forth by governmental health agencies. It will also be streamed live beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Archbishop Pérez’s Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/ArchbishopPerez.
