The 6,440 square foot area in the center of Archbishop Carroll High School has been transformed and reimagined into a space for a holistic approach to learning.
Archbishop John Carroll High School in Radnor (Delaware County) will formally open and dedicate its new Connelly Wellness Center with a blessing and ribbon cutting ceremony.
The Connelly Wellness Center will provide support and resources to Archbishop Carroll students and school families. Its goal is to improve services and assistance to members of the school community with mild learning differences, mental health concerns, and spiritual needs through a wrap-around, team-based approach.
Leadership from the Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s Office of Catholic Education and Archbishop John Carroll High School will be joined by representatives from The Connelly Foundation including Fran Burns, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer; Tim Durkin, Vice President for Grantmaking; and Stephanie Freeman, Senior Program Officer, Education and Director of Scholarship Programs, as well as members of the school’s board. Pennsylvania Representative Lisa Borowski, Delaware County, is also expected to attend.
Reverend William Donovan, Pastor of Saint John Vianney Parish in Gladwyne (Montgomery County), is an Archbishop John Carroll High School alumnus and board member. Father Donovan will offer a blessing prior to the ribbon cutting.

In August 2024, the school announced it was awarded a $450,000 grant from the Connelly Foundation to establish The Connelly Wellness Center. The center aligns with the school’s mission to inspire healthy men and women to lead, serve, and contribute to the global community as well as the Connelly Foundation’s commitment to excellence in Catholic education in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
The Connelly Foundation of West Conshohocken is inspired by its Catholic heritage to improve the quality of life for people in the Philadelphia region by supporting charitable organizations in the areas of education, human services, and culture and civics that strengthen resilience and help people to flourish.
