Archbishop Chaput To Lead Delegation From The Archdiocese Of Philadelphia At The 2014 March For Life In Washington, D.C.

Archbishop Charles J. Chaput, O.F.M. Cap. will lead faithful from the Archdiocese of Philadelphia on the Annual March for Life in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday, January 22, 2014.

The March for Life activities will begin with an Opening Mass at the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception. The principal celebrant and homilist will be Cardinal Seán Patrick O’Malley, O.F.M. Cap. Archbishop of Boston and Chairman of the United States Conference of Catholic Bishops Committee on Pro-Life Activities.

The March for Life Rally will begin at the National Mall at 12:00 p.m. Participants from the Archdiocese of Philadelphia will meet on the corner of Constitution Avenue and 6th Street (in front of the National Gallery of Art). They will process behind the Archdiocese of Philadelphia banner, carried by seminarians from Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary.

Two buses sponsored by the Office for Cultural Ministries will depart from Saint Raymond of Penafort Parish at 6:00 a.m. from 1350 Vernon Road, Philadelphia, 19150.

Two buses from Pope John Paul II High School in Royersford will depart at 6:00 a.m. from the school – 181 Rittenhouse Road, Royersford, 19468.

A bus from Monsignor Bonner and Archbishop Prendergast High School in Drexel Hill will depart at 6:45 a.m. from the school’s parking lot – 403 N. Lansdowne Avenue, Drexel Hill, 19026.

A bus from Cardinal O’Hara High School in Springfield will depart at 7:00 a.m. from the school – 1701 South Sproul Road, Springfield, 19064.

Buses transporting more than 160 seminarians and faculty will depart from Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary in Wynnewood at 5:30 a.m.
