**Media Advisory** Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary to Hold Virtual 2020 Concursus Ceremony on May 13, 2020**Media Advisory**

Due to COVID-19 pandemic, the Seminary will hold a virtual Concursus ceremony. It will be
streamed live on May 13, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. via
www.scs.edu/concursus-may-13-2020  

Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez will offer the Concursus address and preside at the formal distribution of awards and granting of diplomas at Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary’s 2020 Concursus ceremony on May 13, 2020 at 10:00 a.m.

The ceremony will be streamed live on the Seminary’s website www.scs.edu/concursus-may-13-2020 and via the Seminary’s Facebook page  facebook.com/StCharlesSem.

The ceremony will be held in Vianney Hall Auditorium, with the participation of Bishop Timothy C. Senior, Auxiliary Bishop of Philadelphia and Seminary Rector. As each graduate is named his photo, name, and degree will be featured on screen. Seminarians and graduate students will join the Concursus ceremony via live stream.

Background on Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary

Founded in 1832, Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary has been forming men for priestly service in the Catholic Church for more than 180 years.  In August 2019, the seminary reported an overall enrollment of 165 seminarians.  Saint Charles’ seminarian population is becoming increasingly diverse with approximately 30% of its students now coming from Asian, Latino, or African countries or nationalities. Of the 42 most recent enrolled seminarians, 19 are seminarians studying for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.
