Nutritional Development Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia (NDS) and Reverend Steven P. Wetzel, O.S.F.S., Chaplain of the Michael the Archangel Ministry at the Philadelphia Lodge #5, Fraternal Order of Police are teaming up to distribute 200 meal boxes to those in need on Good Friday. The boxes will be given out at Saint Francis Inn in Philadelphia’s Kensington neighborhood.

This charitable effort serves as a way to put faith-in-action and support individuals and families in need with care and compassion especially on this Holy Day commemorating the Passion and Death of Jesus Christ.

Ms. Lizanne Hagedorn, Executive Director of NDS, and Father Wetzel will be on hand for the event. They will be joined by members of the Michael the Archangel Ministry Program and NDS staff who will distribute meals.

Meal boxes distributed will consist of sandwiches, juice, applesauce, grain bars, and other nourishing items. The event will take place outside.
