Archdiocese of Philadelphia and The Catholic Foundation of Greater Philadelphia will partner to support this national Catholic Day of Giving.
The Catholic Foundation of Greater Philadelphia (CFGP) is partnering with the Archdiocese of Philadelphia to participate in #iGiveCatholic for the first time.
#iGiveCatholic is celebrated annually on #GivingTuesday, which follows Thanksgiving, Black Friday, and Cyber Monday. #iGiveCatholic is a Giving Day that kicks off the charitable season and brings the Catholic community together to give thanks and give back. For 2020, the Archdiocese of Philadelphia will join CFGP in promoting this special, faith-based giving day, with support from Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez, Archbishop of Philadelphia.
“We are kicking off an amazing initiative in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia! #iGiveCatholic celebrates the beauty of our faith, demonstrates our shared commitment to live out the Corporal Works of Mercy, and inspires acts of Christian charity,” said Archbishop Pérez.
The Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s participation in #iGiveCatholic presents an opportunity for Catholics to affirm their faith as disciples of Jesus Christ by sharing their gifts out of love for God and one another. It also gives parishes, schools, and nonprofit organizations the chance to rally support for their individual ministries and make a difference in their community, with the goal of raising as many funds as possible for these important missions.
Archbishop Pérez said, “God calls each of us to receive His abundant gifts in our lives and generously share them with others. Please join me in supporting #iGiveCatholic. Thank you for your kindness and generosity. Your support demonstrates tremendous heart and a deep compassion for your brothers and sisters in Christ.”
