Catholic Housing and Community Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia to Bless and Dedicate Saint Edmond Senior Community Center

The Senior Community Center, one of four operated by Catholic Housing and Community Services,
is located on the lower level of Saint Edmond Church in South Philadelphia.

Catholic Housing and Community Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia (CHCS) will hold a blessing and dedication of its Saint Edmond Senior Community Center, located in the Point Breeze section of South Philadelphia.

Auxiliary Bishop John J. McIntyre, who oversees the Secretariat for Catholic Human Services as part of his administrative and pastoral responsibilities, will preside over the blessing and dedication. In addition, Mr. James Amato, Secretary for Catholic Human Services, and Mr. John Wagner, Deputy Secretary for CHCS, will be joined by Ms. Karen Becker, Director of Senior Community Centers in offering remarks during the ceremony.

This newly renovated space will offer opportunities for socialization, recreation, physical exercise, education, and nutritional support with a focus on overall health, wellness, and independence. In addition, this new space will provide access to nutritious meals, supplemental food resources, and direct assistance in applying for benefits.
