The Pennsylvania Office of Victim Advocate, Pennsylvania Coalition Against Rape, and the Archdiocese of Philadelphia’s Office for Child and Youth Protection have joined to share resources and provide support to survivors and parishes in the wake of the release of the grand jury report.

The Attorney General’s investigation and subsequent grand jury report involving six Catholic dioceses in Pennsylvania has been broad and the content has been difficult to read. The material is painful for everyone, most especially survivors of sexual abuse and their loved ones. We deeply regret their pain and remain focused on a path toward healing.

In an age of relentless noise, silence is a treasure beyond calculation.  In silence we can think.  In silence we can make sense of a confusing and difficult time.  In silence, if we commit ourselves to truly listening, we can hear the quiet voice of God. 

The Office for Black Catholics of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia to bring to Philadelphia an inspiring one-man production of Tolton: From Slave to Priest, a true story about the life of the first African American Catholic priest in the United States, Father Augustus Tolton.

The establishment of the quasi-parish of Saint Mary in Conshohocken is in response to an interest for additional pastoral care for those wishing to participate in Divine Worship in the Extraordinary Form.

Predictably, as soon as Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy announced his retirement earlier this summer, pro-abortion groups began lobbying the U.S. Senate hard to reject any nominee who might question or oppose Roe v. Wade.
