Zaleski, Permanent Deacon Stanley M.
Retired Permanent Deacon Stanley M. Zaleski, died at home on Sunday, July 10, 2022.
Deacon Zaleski was ordained at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, on June 2, 2007, by His Eminence, Cardinal Justin Rigali. He was assigned to Saint Martin of Tours Parish, Philadelphia, where he remained until his retirement on June 18, 2018. He also served as permanent deacon/chaplain at Holy Redeemer Hospital, Meadowbrook.
Deacon Zaleski held a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Arts degree in education, both from Villanova University. He was married to his wife Sandy for 50 years. They have six sons (Reverend Joseph S. Zaleski), and ten grandchildren, plus one on the way. Deacon Zaleski is also survived by a sister, Christine. Deacon Zaleski is a retired high school teacher, previously teaching English at Father Judge High school for 43 years.
Reception of the body, and a viewing will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2022, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Saint Katherine of Siena Church, 9700 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia. A second viewing will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2022, beginning at 9:00 AM, followed by his Funeral Mass at 11:00 AM Saint Katherine of Siena Church, 9700 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia. Reverend Joseph S. Zaleski will be the principal celebrant and homilist. Most Reverend Edward M. Deliman will preside over the final commendation. Interment will be at Resurrection Cemetery.
