Faithful Across the Archdiocese are Invited to Seek the Intercession of Venerable Mother Cornelia Connelly at Her New Memorial in the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul

Most Reverend Nelson J. Pérez, Archbishop of Philadelphia, joined sisters from the Society of the Holy Child Jesus on October 17, 2021 at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul for a Mass celebrating the 175th Anniversary of the order’s founding by Venerable Mother Cornelia Connelly.

Following the Mass, Archbishop Pérez solemnly blessed the new memorial to Venerable Mother Cornelia and the Shrine of the Holy Child. It is located to the right of the main entrance of the Cathedral Basilica, which is the Mother Church of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

All people of good will are encouraged to visit the Cathedral and pray at the memorial. Prayers for Venerable Mother Cornelia’s Beatification are especially encouraged.
