The Protestant reformer Martin Luther once said “Don’t lie when you pray.” His words may be more legend than real, but their content still rings very true. And they’re good to remember as we prepare for next week’s holiday (January 18) honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. King taught us to be honest about our faith and the convictions that should flow from it.

This year’s theme is Dwell Together- in the Spirit of Mercy

Monsignor Bonner and Archbishop Prendergast Catholic High School (Delaware County) will honor all veterans with a program prior to tip-off between Bonner/Prendie and Cardinal O’Hara High School (Delaware County) boys’ basketball teams this Friday evening.

A portion of the proceeds from tickets purchased through a dedicated link will go directly to the Catholic Charities appeal.

The celebration provides an opportunity to raise awareness about the hardships faced by migrants, including children, refugees, and victims of human trafficking.
