Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez to Visit Saint Katharine Drexel Catholic School

Archbishop Pérez to celebrate Mass and preside over the blessing and dedication of the school’s new Learning Center.

Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez will visit Saint Katharine Drexel Catholic School (SKDS) in Holland (Bucks County) to celebrate Mass for the SKDS community. He will also bless and dedicate the school’s new Learning Center.

Prior to celebrating Mass, Archbishop Pérez will tour SKDS.

Following Mass, the Archbishop will lead a procession to the SKDS Learning Center where he will bless and dedicate the new building and participate in a ribbon cutting ceremony.

The mission of the Learning Center is to educate the whole child by supporting the spiritual, academic, and social needs of all learners. The center serves students in grades K-8 with specific learning disability diagnosis in the areas of English, Language Arts, and Mathematics. Students qualifying for this type of instruction will be instructed under a modified curriculum tailored to their unique learning styles and differences.

The center also houses the SKDS Fine Arts Music Lab, which allows students to engage and explore the fundamentals of music theory in addition to reading, writing, and playing music in the newly created Keyboard Lab.

To conclude the morning, SKDS will hold a reception in the school’s gymnasium followed by an Open House.
