Archbishop Nelson J. Pérez to Host Annual Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Interfaith Prayer Service

Most Reverend Nelson J. Pérez, Archbishop of Philadelphia, will be the principal convener of the Annual Archdiocesan Interfaith Prayer Service commemorating the life and legacy of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. 

He will be joined by Rabbi Sue Levi Elwell of Hebrew Congregation and Amir Oasim Rashad of United Muslim Masjid.

The Philadelphia Catholic Gospel Mass Choir, composed of members of various parishes representing the Black Catholics Apostolate, will lead the gathering in song.  

The prayer service will take place with adherence to guidelines set forth by governmental health agencies. It will be streamed live facebook.com/miraculousmedalshrinepa.

The Annual Archdiocesan Commemorative celebration is sponsored by the Secretariat for Evangelization, the Office for Black Catholics, and local parishes serving the pastoral and spiritual needs of the Black Catholic community.  All are welcome and encouraged to attend.
