Saint Katherine Day School is one of four Archdiocesan Schools of Special Education

Matthew Rodgers, a student at Saint Katherine Day School, one of four Archdiocesan Schools of Special Education, was selected as one of 50 Special Olympians throughout the country to be featured on a 2018 Special Olympic Athlete Trading Card.

According to Matthew’s trading card, he loves participating in the Special Olympics because, “It makes me really happy. It makes me feel like I did something important.” Matthew is an ambassador at Saint Katherine Day School as well as an altar server at Saint Patrick Parish in Norristown (Montgomery County).

The Special Olympic Athlete Trading Cards is an initiative sponsored by TD Bank. It encourages people to get off the sidelines and make a choice. Join 5 million Special Olympics Athletes and raise your hand to #ChooseToInclude.  In addition, people are encouraged to take a pledge to overcome the fear of differences and replace it with the power of inclusion.   The Special Olympics Athlete Trading Cards are available at participating TD Bank locations.
