Saint Raymond of Peñafort Parish to Mark the 500th Anniversary of the Protestant Reformation with Ecumenical Study Sessions

Saint Raymond of Peñafort Parish (Philadelphia) will commemorate the 500th anniversary of the Protestant Reformation by holding a joint study program with Reformation Lutheran Church Philadelphia. The two churches are neighboring houses of worship, located within walking distance of each other on East Vernon Road.

The goal of this program is for all participants to gain a common understanding of each tradition’s beliefs in a context of Christian fellowship and common prayer.

All are invited to participate in the free seven week study which will kick off with topics including, “Why commemorate the Reformation together?” as well as a historical sketch of the Reformation and Catholic response.
