Rev. Mr. Cesar J. Izaguirre to be Ordained to the Priesthood by Archbishop Nelson Pérez

The Rev. Mr. Cesar J. Izaguirre, 35, son of Mr. Bernardo Izaguirre and Mrs. Maria Estebana Gonzalez, will be ordained to the Priesthood by Archbishop Nelson Pérez.

A native of Managua, Nicaragua, Rev. Mr. Izaguirre has been serving as a transitional deacon at Mother of Divine Providence Parish in King of Prussia, PA, for the past year. He completed his primary and high school education at Instituto Autonimo Experimental Mexico (1998-2002) in his hometown of Managua, Nicaragua. He studied system engineering in the National University of Engineering (2005), Managua, Nicaragua. In 2006, he entered Redemptoris Mater Seminary. He earned a Master in Sacred Theology (2016) from the Pontifical Lateran University in Rome.

He is part of the Redemptoris Mater Seminary for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Father Izaguirre will celebrate his First Public Solemn Mass of Thanksgiving sometime this summer.

There are five men from the Archdiocese of Philadelphia in the Ordination Class of 2020.

Editor’s Note: The newly ordained priests will be assigned, at the conclusion of the Ordination Mass, to an Archdiocesan parish where they will serve as parochial vicars. A parochial vicar is a priest appointed by the Archbishop to assist the pastor of a parish.
