Rev. Mr. Brian Connolly to be Ordained to the Priesthood by Archbishop Chaput

The Rev. Mr. Brian Connolly, 41, son of Mr. John B. Connolly and Mrs. Constance H. Connolly, will be ordained to the Priesthood by Archbishop Charles J. Chaput, O.F.M. Cap.

A native of Lafayette Hill, PA, Rev. Mr. Connolly has been serving as a transitional deacon at Saint Patrick’s Parish in Malvern (Chester County) for the past year. He attended Saint Joseph Parish Elementary School (1990) Downingtown, PA, Bishop Shanahan High School (1994) Downingtown, and West Chester University (1994-1999) West Chester, PA, where he earned a Bachelor of Science. He received his Master of Divinity at Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary, Wynnwood.

The homilist will be Reverend Edward B. Connolly. Concelebrants include Reverend Monsignor Charles Vance, Reverend Christopher Redcay, and Reverend Joseph L. Maloney.

There are two men from the Archdiocese of Philadelphia in the Ordination Class of 2017.


Editor’s Note: The newly ordained priests will be assigned, at the conclusion of the Ordination Mass, to an Archdiocesan parish where they will serve as parochial vicars. A parochial vicar is a priest appointed by the Archbishop to assist the pastor of a parish.
