The Rev. Mr. John Weber, 27, son of Robert and Regina Weber, will be ordained to the priesthood by Cardinal Justin Rigali, Archbishop of Philadelphia, on

A native of Malvern, Pa, Rev. Mr. Weber has been serving as deacon at Our Lady of Grace, Penndel, Bucks County. He attended Shamona Creek Elementary School; Lionville Middle School; and Downingtown Area High School (2000) before entering Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary in Wynnewood. Mr. Weber earned a Bachelor of Arts degree (2005) and Master of Divinity (2008) from Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary.

The homilist is Reverend David E. Diamond. The deacons are Rev. Mr. Steven Snitily and Rev. Mr. Stephen McCarthy. Concelebrants include Reverend Monsignor Michael J. Burke; Reverend David E. Diamond; Reverend Joseph C. Dieckhaus; Reverend William B. Dooner; Reverend Joseph Logrip; and Reverend Joseph P. McLaughlin, O. Praem.
There are six Archdiocese of Philadelphia men in the Class of 2009. At the end of May, each of the newly ordained priests will be assigned to an Archdiocesan parish where they will serve as parochial vicars. A parochial vicar is a priest appointed by the Cardinal to assist the pastor of a parish.
