"A CONCERT IN THE CATHEDRAL"
SHOWCASING THE TALENTS OF THE
CATHOLIC SCHOOL STUDENTS OF THE ARCHDIOCESE

More than 500 elementary and high school students from parochial, archdiocesan and private schools in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia are performing in an exceptional evening of entertainment called

ĎA Concert in the Cathedral'
on
Wednesday, March 17, 2004
7:30 p.m.
Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul
18th and Benjamin Franklin Parkway
Philadelphia, PA


This gala night will feature the music of John Rutter, world-renowned composer and conductor of church music, including choral works, orchestra and instrumental pieces, piano concertos, children's operas and music for television. This event is a tribute to Catholic schools and the outstanding musical and artistic instruction available at both the elementary and high school levels.

The program includes performances by the Elementary Band, Elementary Chorus, All Catholic Strings, All Catholic Men's Chorus, All Catholic Band, All Catholic Women's Chorus, Resurrection School Handbell Choir, and the combined High School Chorus, Orchestra and Band.

Also featured that evening is a solo performance by Matthew Diehl, a sophomore at Holy Ghost Preparatory School in Bensalem, Pennsylvania and winner of the Archdiocesan organist competition.
