Nutritional Development Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia (NDS) will hold its second community food distribution and distribute over 1,000 free “Farmers to Families” food boxes to individuals and families in need and facing food insecurity as a result of the Coronavirus (COVID-19)pandemic.

In partnership with the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s (USDA) “Farmers to Families” Food Box Program, the pre-packaged boxes will contain 10 pounds of produce, five pounds of meat, and five pounds of dairy products. Recipients also will receive a gallon of milk.

In addition, NDS will be providing free student meal boxes for children and youth who are virtual learners not receiving school meals. Each box will contain five breakfasts and five lunches along with milk. This relief effort is especially critical for families with virtual students who cannot get to a NDS sponsored meal site during the week.

NDS will offer a contactless drive-through distribution following all social distancing guidelines. No registration, ID, or qualifications are required. Cars are asked to enter through the parking lot located off Glendale Street and exit onto East Bristol Street. Walk-ups will also be accommodated.
