First Mass in the Extraordinary Form to be Celebrated at Newly Established Quasi-Parish in Montgomery County

Father Carl Gismondi, FSSP, appointed pastor of the Saint Mary Quasi-Parish, which will provide additional pastor care for those seeking Divine Worship in the Extraordinary Form

In April 2018, the Archdiocese of Philadelphia announced the establishment of the quasi-parish of Saint Mary in Conshohocken (Montgomery County) in response to an interest for additional pastoral care for those wishing to participate in Divine Worship in the Extraordinary Form.

Prior to making his decision, the Archbishop obtained appropriate consultation from pastors of surrounding parishes, local priests who currently celebrate Mass in the Extraordinary form, and the Council of Priests.

As also previously shared, this quasi-parish will be staffed by clergy from the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter. Today, the Archdiocese is pleased to announce that Reverend Carl Gismondi, FSSP, has been appointed as pastor. He will celebrate the first Mass in the new quasi-parish on Sunday, September 9th. All are welcome to attend.
