Father’s Chuck Challenge (FCC), a non-profit organization dedicated to building homes and developing villages for families in need, will dedicate its 1,000th home on June 16, 2015 in Nicaragua. New houses built in Nicaragua and Haiti through FCC are given to the poor at no cost. A 12 member group from Father Chuck’s Challenge will travel to Nicaragua for the dedication June 15th through 20th.

In addition to constructing the homes, FCC provides water supply, sanitation facilities, a community center, basic furniture, tools for cultivation, livestock, and fruit trees to each family. In Haiti, it provides deep sea fishing equipment and new cisterns to each home.

Since 2007, the priests and laity of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia and beyond have contributed nearly $4.7 million dollars to build homes for desperately poor families in Nicaragua and Haiti.

Father Chuck’s Challenge is dedicated to the memory and ministry of Rev. Charles Pfeffer.
