The Philadelphia Fire Department and the Archdiocese of Philadelphia are issuing a joint media advisory regarding the Funeral Rites for Lieutenant Matthew LeTourneau of the Philadelphia Fire Department. They will be held at the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul (18th Street and the Benjamin Franklin Parkway; Philadelphia, PA) on the evening of Thursday, January 11th and the morning of Friday, January 12th.

Thursday, January 11th
- 4:30 p.m.-9:00 p.m. Public Viewing
- At the request of the LeTourneau family, the public viewing is not open to the media. N.B. No broadcast feed or livestream will be provided. Additionally, no cameras or other recording devices will be permitted inside the Cathedral.
- Any interviews conducted with members of the general public should take place outside the Cathedral on public property in order to respect the solemnity of the occasion.
Friday, January 12th
- 8:15 a.m. Procession
- Departs Engine 43, 21st and Market Streets
- Proceeds east on Market Street to 18th Street, then north on 18th Street to the Cathedral
- Arrives at the Cathedral at 8:35 a.m.
- 9:00 a.m.-10:30 a.m. Public Viewing
- At the request of the LeTourneau family, the public viewing is not open to the media. N.B. No broadcast feed or livestream will be provided. Additionally, no cameras or other recording devices will be permitted inside the Cathedral.
- Any interviews conducted with members of the general public should take place outside the Cathedral on public property in order to respect the solemnity of the occasion.
- 10:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m. Remarks of Remembrance
- Philadelphia Mayor James Kenney; Philadelphia Fire Commissioner Adam Thiel; and Mr. Luke LeTourneau (brother of Lieutenant LeTourneau) will offer remarks at this time.
- Journalists are asked to remain in designated media areas outlined in the final section of this advisory. Those areas are outside of the main Cathedral.
- An audio broadcast feed with a screen graphic will be available through the Cathedral’s multbox on site as well as a livestream with embed code will be provided starting at 10:30 a.m. This stream will be audio only.
- A press riser and audio only multbox will be set up on 18th Street outside the Cathedral.
- Still photographs are not permitted inside the Cathedral and there will be no still photography pool.

- 11:00 a.m. Funeral Mass
- The Funeral Mass is open to the general public and to media coverage, but no cameras or other recording devices will be permitted in the Cathedral.
- Journalists are asked to remain in designated media areas outlined in the final section of this advisory. Those areas are outside of the main Cathedral.
- A full broadcast feed will be available through the Cathedral’s multbox as well as a livestream with embed code. Technical details can be found in the final section of this media advisory.
