Catholic Social Services’ Bucks County Family Service Center To Host “Family Fun Days” Throughout The Summer

The “Family Fun Days” will be held on five Tuesdays beginning on June 25th

The Bucks County Family Service Center, a ministry of Catholic Social Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia (CSS), will host “Family Fun Days” on Tuesdays throughout the summer. Each session will offer a fun, educational day for families and consist of hands-on interactive activities.

All five “Family Fun Days” are open to the public and will take place at the following location.

Bensalem, PA 19020 (Bucks County)

The first day in the series is detailed below.

Tuesday, June 25, 2019
Theme: Summer Water Safety (Water Play)
Time: 10:00 a.m. -12:00 p.m.

Theme: Fun in the Sun Summer Safety (BBQ and Lawn Games)
Time: 10:00 a.m.

Tuesday, July 23, 2019
Theme: Family cooking with Shara Aaron, Registered Dietitian at Saint Mary Medical Center
Time: 10:00 a.m.

Tuesday, August 6, 2019
Theme: Family Literacy Day with Pat, Librarian with Bensalem branch of the Bucks County Free Library
Time: 10:00 a.m.

Tuesday, August 20, 2019
Theme: Back to School Safety
Time: 10:00 a.m.

The Bucks County Family Service Center is the first point of contact for individuals, families, and parishes when they seek assistance from Catholic Social Services. It is one of seven such centers located throughout the five-county metropolitan area comprising the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

In addition, The Fatima Catholic Outreach Center, a partnership between Catholic Social Services and Saint Mary Medical Center in Langhorne, primarily serves members of the Latino and Hispanic communities of Lower Bucks County and Northeast Philadelphia. It offers many resources including a food pantry; community garden; English and general education classes; leadership development; document assistance; legal, immigration, and benefits support; family and parenting groups; prenatal care and support; tutoring; before and after-school fun; senior care; and more.
