Catholic Housing And Community Services Of The Archdiocese Of Philadelphia Celebrates The 10 Year Anniversary Of Saint John Neumann Place

Catholic Housing and Community Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia (CHCS) will host a luncheon to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Saint John Neumann Place (SJNP), an affordable senior housing community.

Friday, November 16, 2018
1:00 p.m.-3:00 p.m.
Saint John Neumann Place
2600 Moore Street
Philadelphia, PA 19145

Approximately 60 senior residents will be in attendance as well as staff from CHCS and Mr. John Wagner, Deputy Secretary and Chief Executive Officer of CHCS. Mr. Wagner will offer brief remarks about the significance of SJNP over the past decade and thank staff for their dedication.

Located in South Philadelphia, SJNP is one of five CHCS senior housing communities. In 2008, it was transformed from a former high school into a facility of 75 one-bedroom apartments. It provides affordable housing to seniors 62 and older.

Heather Huot, Assistant Director of Parish and Housing Services for CHCS said, “Ten years ago, we completed the transformation of Saint John Neumann High School and a new life began for this building.  For the last decade, Saint John Neumann Place has become a home and a community for seniors in South Philadelphia. Committed to empowering seniors to stay in their communities and homes, CHCS looks to Saint John Neumann Place as a shining example of how a safe, well designed and supportive living environment achieves this goal.”

CHCS’ affordable senior housing communities allow residents to remain active in their communities while enjoying comfortable, stylish apartment living. “Presby’s Inspired Life,” a faith based, service-oriented organization committed to creating opportunities for residents to live an enhanced quality of life, manages the properties.

CHCS is a leading provider of senior living services throughout the Philadelphia region. Dedicated staff are committed to providing the best quality support for seniors and their loved ones through senior programs. Programs include senior housing, senior centers, older adult care management, in-home support programs, adult day care, elder care helpline, and senior clubs.
