I am stunned by the heartbreaking images of the devastation left by Hurricane Laura.

WASHINGTON – This Friday, August 28 marks the 57th anniversary of the 1963 March on Washington where Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. delivered his “I Have A Dream” speech.

Today, all school families, administrators, faculty, and staff in the 17 Archdiocesan high schools located throughout the five-county regions received a joint letter from Sister Maureen Lawrence McDermott, I.H.M. Ph.D., Superintendent for Secondary Schools for the Archdiocese of Philadelphia, and Irene Horstmann Hannan, Chief Executive Officer of Faith in the Future.

This annual initiative serves as the principal fundraising effort for the Cathedral Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul, the Mother Church of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

Catholic Housing and Community Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia (CHCS) is pleased to announce it has received a $25,000 grant from Catholic Charities USA (CCUSA) that is funded by the Walmart Foundation to help eligible senior citizens enroll in the federal government’s Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP).

Today, the College and Theology seminarians of Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary will return to campus to mark the start of the academic year. In total, 156 seminarians are enrolled at Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary for 2020-2021, which includes 27 new seminarians.

Catholic Housing and Community Services of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia (CHCS) will add Saint Joseph Place to its growing portfolio of affordable housing for independent seniors. The building will be the sixth of its nature developed by CHCS.
