The Archdiocese of Philadelphia invites all the faithful throughout the five county region to participate in a Rosary Novena in response to Pope Francis’ request for prayers for the October Synod of Bishops.  Archbishop Charles J. Chaput, O.F.M. Cap. will serve as a delegate to the synod from the United States. 

This Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops will take place from October 5 – 19 in Vatican City on the topic, “The vocation and mission of the family in the Church and in the contemporary world.”

Since October is the month of the rosary, all people of goodwill are invited to commit to praying the rosary daily through October 25 for the intention of the Synod and for Archbishop Chaput.
