Archbishop Chaput To Ordain Rev. Mr. Sean P. English To The Priesthood

Born in Media (Delaware County), Rev. Mr. Sean P. English has been serving as a deacon at Saint Pius X Parish in Broomall (Delaware County). He attended Saint Charles Borromeo Parish Elementary School in Drexel Hill, PA, and Monsignor Bonner High School in Delaware County. He received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from Lehigh University and his Master of Divinity and Master of Arts in Sacred Scripture Degrees at Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary.

The homilist will be Reverend Monsignor James D. Beisel. Concelebrants include Reverend Joseph McGlaughlin, Reverend William Kaufman, Reverend Patrick Brady and Reverend Roland Slobogin.

There are six men from the Archdiocese of Philadelphia in the Ordination Class of 2014. Each of the newly ordained priests will be assigned to an Archdiocesan parish where they will serve as parochial vicars. A parochial vicar is a priest appointed by the Archbishop to assist the pastor of a parish.
