Archbishop Chaput To Host 31st Annual Archdiocesan Commemorative Prayer Service In Honor Of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. This Year’s Theme Is Deep In Our Hearts

Archbishop Charles J. Chaput, O.F.M. Cap. will lead the 31st Annual Commemorative Prayer Service in honor of Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Catholics along with other Christians and people of other faiths will gather at Saint Malachy Catholic Church to celebrate the life and legacy of the civil rights leader.

The commemorative prayer service will begin with a procession of religious leaders. Invited speakers from several denominations will proclaim a Scriptural passage and offer a short reflection. Throughout the service, Saint Malachy Parish choir will lead the congregation with spirited gospel music.

The 31st Annual Archdiocesan Commemorative Prayer Service is sponsored by the Secretariat for Evangelization and the Office for Black Catholics. All are welcome to attend.
